221B Con
221B Con is a fan-run convention dedicated to all things Sherlock Holmes, celebrating the iconic detective across various mediums. Founded in 2013, the event has been held annually in Atlanta, GA. For this convention, I designed a range of materials, including bookmarks, ads, t-shirts, and convention badges. The imagery was inspired by the BBC's Sherlockseries and the 2015 film Mr. Holmes, capturing the spirit of these beloved adaptations for the event's diverse fanbase.

Sherlock (TV Series)
I illustrated portraits of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson, as portrayed by Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, respectively. At the time, Sherlock had reached a peak of popular critical acclaim, making it the perfect moment to capture these iconic characters. The illustrations were used across various materials, including posters and bookmarks, helping to visually connect fans with the essence of the show.
Mr. Holmes
In 2015, Mr. Holmes, based on Mitch Cullin’s A Slight Trick of the Mind, was released, with Ian McKellen starring as the iconic detective. For the 221B Con conference badge, I wanted to create an illustration that resonated with that year’s primary Sherlock property. Inspired by the film, I depicted McKellen’s portrayal of Holmes, incorporating a bee pattern behind his portrait—a nod to the significant role bees played in the story. This design captured both the film’s themes and its reflective, poignant atmosphere.
