Elvis is Dead

How do you celebrate an end-of-August birthday in secret? Call it an Elvis is Dead party. What began as a small celebration with my friend—who was born just four days before me—soon turned into an annual event complete with commemorative t-shirts and badges. It’s a quirky, fun tradition that’s all about enjoying the moment without the spotlight.

Our shirt designs eventually landed in the traveling exhibit “To a T: T-Shirt Culture… Cute or Couture?” hosted by MODA: Museum of Design Atlanta.
